Chicken on the Run Gathering Monday April 6, 2020 CANCELLED

Hi everyone:

There is likely no one who enjoys meeting with our classmates more than I do.  And, I was certainly looking forward to our next gathering.  That being said, your class leaders (Linda Buken, Jo Davis and I) have decided that we need to cancel our upcoming gathering on April 6^th.  We are doing this today, to be proactive in this situation and to let everyone know that we are trying to react in an appropriate manner given today’s concerns about the Coronavirus Pandemic.  Most of the people who are likely to attend a luncheon at Chicken on the Run are from the Greater Cincinnati area and will not have needed to travel an extensive distance.  Nevertheless, with the Governor of Ohio banning gatherings of over 100 people (which we would certainly not have at Chicken) along with the many other cancellations or postponements of other events, it simply did not seem appropriate for us to support an event which might put someone at risk.

I certainly hope that none of you have been, nor will be, exposed to this virus.  And, that few, if any of you are having many of your personal travel plans seriously interrupted.  We will try to have a class event as soon as possible after the concerns about spreading the virus have diminished.  I have no idea when that will be but I certainly hope it is soon.

In the meantime, please take the recommended precautions to reduce your chances of exposure to this disease.  And, as always, we wish you the best of health until we see you again.
